Armpit
Sweating - Axillary Hyperhidrosis Treatment
Axilliary
hyperhidrosis or excessive underarm sweating is
the clinical
reference to a person who
sweats uncontrolably
from their armpits. Sweating
in the underarm area is a
normal occurance
in humans, but
for
an estimated 8
million Americans,
sweating profusely from the
armpits is an
extreme,
embarrassing
condition where sweating
occurs
constantly
and does not
respond
well to deodorants or
oral
medications.
Sweaty palms may also be
associated
with
excessive
sweating of the
underarms.
Sweating of the armpits can stain
clothes and
cause a strong body odor to develop quickly
which
often
causes negative
reactions from
the sufferer and those around
them.
Underarm
sweating is
more common
among women than men.
Armpit sweat
of a profuse nature
is more common
among people of
Asian
and Jewish
ancestry, but all races can
have
this
problem to one degree or another.
Micro ETS
may be an option, however the success
rate in eliminating this problem specific to the underarms is
limited.
